From 28th to 30th November we participated in EVOO Trends, the event dedicated to the future of the olive oil supply chain.
For TETHYS it was an important opportunity to direct comparison with those who experience the challenges of olive growing every day: agricultural producers and agronomists who are rethinking their management strategies in an increasingly complex climate context.
The critical issues of olive growing
Over the course of the three days, we collected needs and questions from the olive growers present.
The difficulties related to the water management, to the monitoring of the vegetative state and to the production variability have been the most recurring themes – and they are precisely the areas in which the systems Watch And Aqua can offer a concrete support thanks to satellite data and advanced modeling.
A constructive dialogue with agronomists
EVOO Trends was also a great opportunity to present our services to agronomists who follow olive oil companies throughout the country.
The interest towards tools that allow you to estimate irrigation needs, identify crop anomalies And optimize interventions on the field confirms the centrality of digital in the future of olive growing.
Next appointment: NSE – New Space Economy
After EVOO Trends, our journey continues to NSE – New Space Economy the fair dedicated to space applications and innovative services enabled by satellite data.
We will be present from 10th to 12th December to tell you about it. how space technology can translate into operational tools for agriculture, water resources management and land-use planning.
