The activities planned for the 10 selected projects
The 10 projects and teams selected in the third micro-innovation cycle of the Food Innovation Hub are preparing to undertake a co-design path lasting 4 months. This course, which will take place within the Active Spaces Laboratories of Bracciano and Latina, will be essential to transform their innovative ideas into concrete and applicable solutions to the challenges of the Lazio agri-food sector.
The co-design process is aimed at identifying solutions for:
• Optimize food processing and preservation processes: The goal is to increase efficiency, product quality and food safety along the entire production chain.
• Adapt packaging systems to new European regulations: the focus will be on introducing innovative solutions such as active and intelligent packaging, capable of guaranteeing greater safety and shelf-life of products.

Through the comparison with the mentors and tutors of the Active Space of Bracciano and of Agri Camera, The TETHYS team has identified the tomato supply chain as one of the most interesting, given the extreme sensitivity of the crop to water stress, to develop an innovative service for the correct management of irrigation by agricultural companies through the customization of the service Aqua.
In the co-design process, the following were some companies in the regional agri-food sector involved and right in these days they are expected the first field visits necessary to start the joint experimentation phase foreseen by the project.
