Cet indice est donc essentiel non seulement pour pr\u00e9venir l'apparition de stress hydrique<\/strong>, mais aussi de choisir le meilleur moment pour la r\u00e9colte<\/strong>.<\/p>

Les valeurs de l'indice NDWI varient de -1 \u00e0 +1, le premier faisant r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 des objets inanim\u00e9s, tandis que le second repr\u00e9sente une culture caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par une tr\u00e8s forte teneur en eau.<\/p>

Comment ces donn\u00e9es sont-elles obtenues ?<\/p>

Dans des conditions de pleine croissance et de d\u00e9veloppement des cultures, les plantes ont une teneur \u00e9lev\u00e9e en eau et le NDWI prend des valeurs \u00e9lev\u00e9es. Si la teneur en eau d'une culture est r\u00e9duite, pourquoi stress hydrique<\/strong> (ou parce qu'en d\u00e9but\/fin de maturation), \u00e9galement Le NDWI a tendance \u00e0 diminuer<\/strong> et prend des valeurs inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 0,4.
