From 4 to 6 March 2026 the Rimini Expo Center hosted a new edition of Key Energy \u2013 The Energy Transition Expo<\/a>, one of the main European events dedicated to energy transition<\/strong>.<\/p>

TETHYS was represented by Lorenza Panunzi<\/strong>, which over the course of the three days collected impressions, observations and comparisons with sector operators<\/strong>, returning the image of a well-attended fair<\/strong> and growing compared to last year.<\/p>

In this context Agrivoltaics has confirmed itself as one of the most present topics in the debate among planners, developers and energy operators<\/strong>. At the same time it has clearly emerged a phase of strong regulatory uncertainty<\/strong>, which accompanies the growth of the sector.<\/p>

A growing sector, but with still uncertain contours<\/h2>

If interest in agrivoltaics continues to increase, the regulatory framework<\/strong> still appears evolving<\/strong>.<\/p>

According to the impressions gathered during the fair, many operators perceive a certain ambiguity between the new legislation and the existing guidelines<\/strong>, which in some passages result difficult to interpret<\/strong> or to be applied<\/strong> consistently.<\/p>

In particular, there still remain various aspects are poorly defined <\/strong>linked to the agricultural component of the plants<\/strong>, including how this should be monitored and demonstrated over time<\/strong>.<\/p>

It is precisely on this ground that we are concentrating today an important part of the comparison between operators<\/strong>, because agrivoltaics is not just an energy technology but a system that must credibly integrate agricultural production and energy<\/strong>.<\/p>

The interest of the operators who manage the plants<\/h2>

During the moments of discussion at the fair, an interesting element also emerged with respect to the positioning of instruments such as TETHYS<\/strong>.<\/p>

L'greater interest<\/strong> It came mostly from small to medium-sized businesses<\/strong>, Often directly involved in operational management<\/strong> of agrivoltaic systems.<\/p>

A discussion with AIAS on Italy's role in agrivoltaics<\/h2>

Among the meetings attended during the fair, Lorenza Panunzi also attended the event organised by AIAS \u2013 Italian Sustainable Agrivoltaics Association<\/a>, dedicated to the Italy's role in the European and international agrivoltaic landscape<\/strong>.<\/p>

The comparison highlighted how, despite operational and regulatory difficulties<\/strong>, theItaly<\/strong> is today considered one of the reference countries for the development of this model<\/strong>, also thanks to the opportunities created by the measures of the PNRR<\/strong>.<\/p>

The meeting addressed different aspects of the sector<\/strong>, from the regulatory framework for the market<\/strong>, up to the issues of social acceptability<\/strong>, from the research<\/strong> and of the operational experiences<\/strong> matured in the field.<\/p>

The reference to the concrete experiences<\/strong> highlighted how agrivoltaics is progressively moving from an experimental field to an operational field<\/strong>, where the plant management<\/strong> becomes a central question<\/strong>.<\/p>

Data and quality in the life cycle of plants<\/h2>

Another moment of comparison was theencounter<\/strong> organized by Synergy<\/a> together with T\u00dcV Italia, entitled \u201cQuality, data, and innovation for renewable and intelligent energy sources<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>

The seminar addressed the topic of increasing complexity of energy assets<\/strong> and the need for integrate design<\/strong>, data management<\/strong> And performance control<\/strong> long the entire life cycle of the systems<\/strong>.<\/p>

During the interventions it emerged that the energy transition requires increasingly integrated systems<\/strong> And processes<\/strong> capable of combine engineering<\/strong>, independent verification<\/strong> And digitization of assets<\/strong>.<\/p>

In this scenario, the availability<\/strong> Of reliable data<\/strong> And of structured monitoring tools<\/strong> becomes a decisive element<\/strong> not only for improve the quality of projects<\/strong>, but also to make more transparent and verifiable<\/strong> there plant management<\/strong> over time.<\/p>

The impressions collected at Key Energy therefore give the image of a dynamic and expanding sector<\/strong>, but also crossed by still open questions.
