After the<strong>Integrating the TETHYS DSS system into the design and monitoring processes<\/strong>, the first results of the<strong>ex ante satellite analysis<\/strong> conducted on an agricultural area in the province of Bologna, intended for<strong>installation of an agrivoltaic system with mobile trackers<\/strong>.<\/p><h2>An objective snapshot of the agricultural potential before planting<\/h2><p>Through the DSS TETHYS system and its integrated modules \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/tethys.farm\/en\/agricultural-crop-monitoring\/\">Watch<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/tethys.farm\/en\/water-saving-agriculture\/\">Aqua<\/a> And <a href=\"https:\/\/tethys.farm\/en\/agricultural-biomass-calculation\/\">Grow<\/a> \u2013 it was possible <strong>accurately reconstruct the production status of the area being worked on before the plant is built<\/strong>The analysis highlighted a <strong>agricultural production below potential,<\/strong> with poorly productive crops, also due to the lack of an efficient irrigation system, essential to sustain production in the summer months.<br \/>THE<strong> satellite data<\/strong>, processed in combination with <strong>environmental models<\/strong> And <strong>weather data<\/strong>, have allowed us to trace the<strong>trend of vegetative vigor<\/strong>, the <strong>biomass production<\/strong> and then the <strong>CO\u2082 absorption capacity<\/strong>This information provided a solid starting point to objectively assess<strong> the pre-existing agronomic value<\/strong> and measure <strong>the expected improvement delta<\/strong>.<\/p><h2>A double agricultural and energy valorization<\/h2><p>The planned intervention includes the construction of a <strong>agrivoltaic system with mobile trackers<\/strong>, designed to ensure the <strong>continuity<\/strong> and the <strong>coexistence<\/strong> from the <strong>agricultural activities<\/strong>Precisely by virtue of the preliminary monitoring, it will be possible to define an agronomic plan suited to the context, <strong>maximizing the available surfaces even in the presence of photovoltaic modules<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Despite a projected reduction in utilized agricultural area (about 25%) and a decrease in solar radiation estimated between 30 and 35%, <strong>the simulations conducted indicate an increase in overall agricultural profitability<\/strong>The compatible cultivation plan developed with the support of TETHYS includes the introduction of <strong>high value-added crops<\/strong>, like the <strong>industrial tomato<\/strong>, particularly suited to the territory in question.<\/p><p>Added to this is the positive effect of the<strong>installation of a new irrigation system<\/strong>, possible thanks to the investments planned within the project. The possibility of <strong>manage irrigation volumes in a targeted manner<\/strong> \u2013 also through the <strong>daily monitoring of water balance<\/strong> \u2013 will contribute directly to the<strong>increased yields<\/strong> and to the<strong>overall production efficiency<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element economic aspects, the analysis conducted confirmed that the introduction of the<strong>The agrivoltaic system will not have any negative effects on the CO\u2082 absorption capacity of crops<\/strong>On the contrary, thanks to the greater management efficiency and the possibility of maintaining agricultural continuity in the presence of the modules, it will be possible <strong>ensure stable and measurable agricultural production over time<\/strong>, in line with the <strong>sustainability criteria<\/strong> provided for by current legislation.<br \/>The increase in irrigation use will be <strong>limited and controlled<\/strong>, but sufficient to fill previous gaps and support the production of new crops.<\/p><h2>A collaboration to serve operational and transparent agrivoltaics<\/h2><p>TETHYS continues to work alongside Syniergy, which coordinates the project development of this A-FTV intervention, to bring into play a <strong>truly integrated agrivoltaics<\/strong>, capable of <strong>generate measurable agricultural benefits<\/strong>, guarantee <strong>transparency in impact assessment<\/strong> and respond to the <strong>needs of the stakeholders involved<\/strong>.<br \/>This example demonstrates how <strong>satellite monitoring applied to agronomic planning<\/strong> is not just a support element, but <strong>a strategic lever for planning more efficient investments<\/strong>, sustainable and consistent with the needs of the
