With the start of the collaboration<\/strong> between TETHYS and Synergy<\/a> takes shape a new operational approach for the design, evaluation and management of<\/strong> agrivoltaic systems<\/a> that unite digital innovation<\/strong> And environmental sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p>

At the heart of the agreement, the integration of the Tethys DSS system<\/strong> \u2013 developed to remotely monitor agricultural dynamics via satellite data \u2013 in the chain of technical and agronomic services made available by Syniergy<\/strong>.
The objective is twofold: on the one hand, support the authorization phases of the plants<\/strong>; on the other hand, ensure continuous and objective monitoring of agricultural activity<\/strong> during photovoltaic operation.<\/p>

Pedo-agronomic relationship: the basis for conscious design<\/h2>

The collaboration includes the creation of a complete soil and agronomic report<\/strong>, necessary to define the context in which the plant will be built. The analysis includes<\/strong> physical, chemical and biological parameters of the soil<\/strong>, along with information on flora, fauna, current agricultural use and regulatory constraints.<\/span><\/p>

All data will be accompanied by georeferenced maps and images<\/strong> which will facilitate the territorial framework and the landscape insertion of the project.<\/p>

Agronomic and cultivation plan: compatibility first and foremost<\/h2>

Starting from agronomic characteristics of the site<\/strong> and from photovoltaic system layout<\/strong>, will be defined as a compatible cultivation plan<\/strong>, which identifies:<\/p>

\u2022 the Cultivable species<\/strong> depending on microclimate and shading,<\/p>

\u2022 the optimal rotation<\/strong> of crops<\/p>

\u2022 the agronomic techniques<\/strong> more suitable<\/p>

\u2022 the sstrategies for efficient water use<\/strong> and the reduction of chemical inputs.<\/p>

This phase is crucial to ensure that the system maintains high agricultural productivity<\/strong>.<\/p>

TETHYS DSS: satellite data for agronomic and environmental scenarios<\/h2>

One of the key elements of the collaboration is the use of the TETHYS system to generate forecast scenarios on agricultural activity and the environment<\/strong>. Through the forms Watch<\/a>, Aqua<\/a> And Grow<\/strong>, the DSS allows you to:<\/p>

\u2022 analyze the vegetative state<\/strong> of crops through indices such as NDVI, NDWI<\/a>, LAI and fCover,<\/p>

\u2022 estimate irrigation needs<\/strong> And the potential water savings<\/strong>,<\/p>

\u2022 monitor biomass production<\/strong> and the absorption of CO\u2082.<\/p>

Thanks to the historical data<\/strong> and advanced environmental models<\/strong> (like SEBAL), TETHYS allows to demonstrate the environmental and agricultural sustainability of agrivoltaic systems already in place in the planning stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition to the ex-ante evaluation<\/strong>, the TETHYS system will guarantee a continuous monitoring<\/strong> throughout the entire operational life of the plant, through:<\/p>\n

\u2022 daily processing<\/strong> available on web app<\/p>\n

\u2022 annual reports<\/strong> with analysis of the main agronomic parameters,<\/p>\n

\u2022 comparison between real data and project scenarios<\/strong><\/p>\n

Using the web app allows you to continuously monitor the affected plots,<\/strong> also by focusing on specific areas of interest, supporting agronomists and technicians<\/strong> in the daily management of crops in the presence of the photovoltaic system.<\/p>\n

Microclimate under observation: weather stations for experimental plants<\/h2>\n

For systems included in the experiments envisaged by Legislative Decree 199\/2021 and the PNRR, the supply of field weather stations<\/strong> will allow to monitor the microclimate on a hectare scale<\/strong>The sensors will collect basic data<\/strong> (temperature, humidity, wind, solar radiation) both under photovoltaic modules and in open fields<\/strong>, offering further evaluation elements on the interaction between the plant structure and the agricultural environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An integrated vision for next-generation agrivoltaics<\/h2>\n

The collaboration between TETHYS and Syniergy represents a concrete example of how digital innovation can strengthen agricultural value<\/strong>, energy and environmental protection of agrivoltaic systems<\/strong>.
